We have posted version 2.3.0 of the MARET Counseling and Assessment Software to the website! It is finally finished! If you are a member of the MARET Premium web site you may go there immediately and download this exciting new upgrade to the software.
It is imperative that you read this update notice carefully and completely. It will significantly affect the functioning of the MARET Counseling and Assessment Software package!
It is vitally important for you to keep your Counseling and Assessment Software package up to date. As of May 25th 2008, we have released the 2.3.0 upgrade (from 2.2.96). This is our largest and most comprehensive tool ever released. It virtually revolutionizes the whole Counseling and Assessment package. If you own the Counseling and Assessment Software package in any previous version other then Version 2.3.0, you must upgrade to this version immediately! It is vital to your ministry to get this upgrade. Don't live without it! You will regret it.
This system does virtually everything that you will ever need it to do. Furthermore, the newly revised comprehensive Help system leads you through every facet of the functions of the software. Included in the documentation is a comprehensive 147 full color educational Manual. That Manual contains tons of graphical representations and actual screen shots to guide you through using the software package to the fullest extent. Our Help files will greatly enhance your ability to use all of the facets of the Counseling and Assessment Software program. Coupled with your membership in the MARET Premium Services this package will become invaluable in the very near future as we will continue to engage in intensive educational opportunities related not only the software project but to actual counseling situations - Essentially, free counseling education at an advanced level.
The Counseling and Assessment Software update software is now available through the MARET Premium site only We have needed to make this change due to loss of substantial revenues because we have simply giving too much away in the past. Every other single company that produces software charges for upgrades. We have decided to allow you to continue to gain access to our updates as long as you are a member of our MARET Premium Services educational site. The economy no longer allows us to offer unlimited free upgrades to our software. We find this an unfortunate necessity. We have made as many compromises as possible to give you not only the upgrades on the Premium site, but also comprehensive education that will continue to grow over time.
Renovation of that site will begin in earnest shortly and massive amounts of hands-on counseling education will be added - not just related to the Counseling and Assessment Software package, but to actual counseling situations such a dealing with depression, anxiety issues, other Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, and much more. We intend to provide you with the education that you need to deal with the individuals that come into your office!
However, in keeping with the magnitude of previous grades, this current upgrade will by no means disappoint you. In fact, we believe that it absolutely essential for any MARET user. It contains nearly 5 million bytes of new formation and massive new functionality that will greatly enhance your counseling practice. Read that list carefully. You will also find a comprehensive Software Manual - the first revision of the Help system in almost eight years. The previous Help system was dismal and didn't function up to our standards. We do not wish to exclude any previous owner or current users from obtaining the most important upgrades to the software. We will work with you on becoming a Premium Member.
Although MARET Version 2.3.0 was supposed to be the end-all of the Counseling and Assessment Software package, we have already begun to engender new ideas and concepts that will continue to affect your ministry. None of those up-coming-features will be able to match what we have done in this system. They will include reporting devices that you can use with your administrative personal to explain and detail the number of sessions that you engage in on a daily, a weekly, a monthly, a quarterly or a yearly basis. This may be enlightening in any business meeting and may help the congregation prioritize ministry staff efforts. I personality cannot wait to "jump into" that project since statistics are my "passion."
This version contains many features that were not in the previous version. These features are not just simply functional changes and cosmetic changes, but they add enormous functionality to the software package. Unfortunately, MARET Systems International is no longer able to offer unlimited updates and upgrades to the software system. Those unlimited upgrades and updates are available, however, through a special yearly subscription called MARET Premium Services.
MARET Premium Services offers a host of various tools designed for pastors and professional counselors. We strongly suggest that you explore this option regarding upgrades. It is the least expensive means of upgrading your software. And, the Premium Services options does allow for unlimited upgrading of the software.
If you wish to update to only one specific update version and you do not wish to use the Premium Service method, please contact us since we do allow individuals to upgrade to individual upgraded packages at a per upgrade cost.
For that service, please contact us.
Previous updates to the software package will continue to be available on the MARET Premium Services site. However, some versions have now been excluded from the upgrade site. Only versions 2.2.8x and above will continue to be supported on the MARET Premium website. All others have been eliminated.

Special Notice. You must download the update file directly into the MARET program directory. If you chose the "default installation directory" when you first installed the software, that directory will be "c:\program_files\maretme." If you changed that directory to something else, then you will need to locate the actual program directory. The update will not function unless it is placed directly where the MARET program file is.
