We believe that it is important for visitors to the TorahTips web site to understand our basic beliefs. While we hold "convictions" and doctrinal points of view on a wide variety of issues, we hold the following beliefs to be foundational.

First of all, we espouse the 13 foundational beliefs defined by Rambam. Those are:

1. Belief in the existence of the Creator, be He Blessed, who is perfect in every manner of existence and is the Primary Cause of all that exists.

2. Belief in God's absolute and unparalleled unity.

3. Belief in God's noncorporeality, nor that He will be affected by any physical occurrences, such as movement, or rest, or dwelling.

4. Belief in God's eternity.

5. Imperative to worship Him exclusively and no foreign false gods.

6. Belief that God communicates with man through prophecy.

7. Belief that the prophecy of Moses our teacher has priority.

8. Belief in the divine origin of the Torah.

9. Belief in the immutability of the Torah.

10. Belief in divine omniscience and providence.

11. Belief in divine reward and retribution.

12. Belief in the arrival of the Messiah and the messianic era.

13. Belief in the resurrection of the dead.

Furthermore, we hold to these convictions:

1. The historical Yeshua of the New Testament scriptures is the Son of God.

2. Yeshua is the promised Messiah of Israel.

3. Yeshua is deity.

4. Yeshua was born of a virgin.

5. The death of Yeshua was an act of substitutionary atonement for all who believe in Him and His Blood is able to cleanse us from our sins.

While we do hold other doctrinal positions to be important, the beliefs listed above are without dispute and we will not compromise those beliefs. All of the Torah teaching materials found on the web site that are generated by TorahTips will strongly reinforce these beliefs in all Torah study materials.
