TorahTips -- A New Paradigm
    The New TorahTips
       Reviewing: A New Paradigm
Dr. Robert Tippie has been teaching and studying Torah from a Messianic perspective now since 1999. The TorahTips web site has engaged over 2000 students over the years who have worked through the online free Torah studies. Dr. Tippie now has a vision for the future that will take this entire Torah study process to a new and exciting level.

Change is Coming Quickly!

All things eventually change. TorahTips is no exception. We have existed in our present form now since 1999. We have posted tons of articles free of charge. We have also offered 30 free Torah lessons to whomever wishes to engage in those lessons. But it is time for a change.

Change, however, with no foundational reason for the change can often lead to chaos - even to the very downfall of the thing that is being changed. So, change for the sake of change, is probably not a good thing. Change without a purpose is pointless.

TorahTips is making some very significant changes. Those changes have been well thought out. They are being made with a specific goal in mind and for specific reasons. While these are not pointless changes, we realize that these changes will probably alter our visitor base from 2000 per day to just a few. We will lose the vast majority of our database. But, nevertheless, the change must come for reasons that will be detailed shortly.

Why we must change will be explained shortly. First, let me define the changes themselves. This will give us a framework for the reasons behind the changes.

  • The website will be streamlined and most of the extraneous content will come down.

  • Eventually, all of the articles will come down - at least the bulk of them. Some may stay if they are deemed as critical to the new paradigm of the site.

  • New articles will be posted on a new server. Those articles will be secured with a user ID and a password so that only members will have access to them. Those articles will relate essentially to the new paradigm of the website.

  • The TorahTips "study Torah free" section will remain up but will allow for a limited number of free lessons - probably five free lessons at which time a person will need to make a choice to continue studying or to drop off.

  • New pages will be posted that will detail our new philosophy so that visitors can readily make a choice whether or not the new paradigm of the website suits their needs.

  • Reasons for the Changes

Believe me, there is a reason behind what we are doing. That reason is not related to lack of financial support from our consistent users - even though we receive less than $100 in contributions monthly. So, what are the reasons then?

  • First, it is our desire to rise up a generation of students who are Torah experts. That can only be done through consistent contact with those individuals. Our current methods do not allow for such communication.

  • Second, it is our desire to systematically train individuals. We have additional courses available that we believe are critically important for students. Those courses need to be implemented in the lives of every serious Torah student.

  • Third, we realize that many individuals who formerly had a structured place of fellowship no longer have such a place. The religious climate (especially in the United States) is deteriorating rapidly - especially at the moral level. Many individuals are alone in a religious wasteland. We intend to strengthen those individuals through systematic communication.

  • Fourth, our society is becoming more corrupt by the day. The only way that I can see to safeguard against that corruption is by structured, personal study. The anonymous Internet study is no longer good enough. I believe the days are short and we have only a little quality time to prepare ourselves for the total moral degradation of our society.

  • How will the New Paradigm Work?

How will this new study work? There will be a number of new components added to further enhance the study of Torah for those who are really serious about studying and applying Torah on a daily basis. Those include:

  • Streaming MP3 audio files will be added for each Torah lesson in the 30 lesson series. There will be additional MP3 files for other studies that will be posted. Additional PDF and MP3 studies unrelated to the studies will also be available to subscribers.

  • Direct communication with a Torah instructor during the entire course of studies will be available to the student and will be strongly encouraged.

  • The student will have the ability to become a Torah instructor after the completion of a series of preparatory courses.

  • Individuals will be able to be listed in our private directory so that all members of the TorahTips society will be able to contact each other. This will be strictly monitored and email addresses (if posted by the individual) will not be allowed to be abused.

  • As a student progresses through these studies, they will accomplish the following goals:

  • You will master the 613 principles of the Torah and learn the Messianic significance of each of them.

  • You will learn how to rightly interpret scripture through the Principles of Interpretation course, which will be part of the entire training package.

  • You will learn about personal and corporate prayer and how to apply those principles.

  • You will learn to build a small home-based prayer group of like-minded people.

  • You will have increasing opportunities as you progress through the studies to help others and to reach out into your community with Torah-based acts of mercy.

  • We Need Dedication

In these days, I feel that it is important to develop dedicated Torah masters willing and able to apply Torah in all situations. That is the real purpose of our change. Times are changing. Wickedness is increasing. We need to discipline ourselves to becoming the light of the world wherever we are.

While there will be a charge for the new paradigm associated with TorahTips, we do not intend to leave anyone behind. First, the charge will be well worth what you receive. Second, the charge will be well within your budget. All fees assessed for study in the new TorahTips study group will be based on personal discussions with each prospective student.

How does it all work? We are not "automatically" rolling anyone over into the new system. Everyone's account (as it currently exists) is in limbo. After a number of attempts to contact each and every one of our 2000 students, students will be dropped off as unable to be contacted.

If you are at all interested in hearing more about what we are doing, we ask that you do one of two things.

  • Call us day or evening at 773-549-3096 and request more information about the new TorahTips study program.

  • Or, email us and give us your phone number. We will contact you about the study at the time that you designate. Please, only United States-based phone numbers. We have unlimited long distance within the United States and we are more than willing to make a call to you.

  • A Final Note of Encouragement

If you are not sure if you wish to participate, then you need to contact us. We will explain more of the system to you and then you can make an informed decision. We can also discuss the cost of the program at that time. We will not be accepting anyone into this new paradigm without having had direct verbal communication with them. You need to know our intent and we need to hear your desire to learn and apply Torah.

The whole process of weeding out our database as it exists will probably take us a month or so. Studies, however, will begin on September 10th, 2007. You can "jump right in" to the studies at any time. There are no designated starting times for the courses.

I suggest that you contact us as soon as possible. The greater your interest, the more quickly you should contact us - lest you become "tares" in our database and never hear from us again.

[As individuals progress through this whole system of courses, they will receive certificates of achievement to recognize that they have been through the whole process. While TorahTips is not an accredited organization (either in the United States or Internationally) the certificate will have some value as the TorahTips organization does have a "name" for itself in the Messianic community. The certificates will also be valuable as our own organization grows and individuals which to take on positions as instructors and directors of various ministries. Only through those certificate awards will individuals be able to be given positions that need a certain level of expertise.]

Contact us today if you wish to remain on our emailing list. Extractions from our mailing list will begin this week.
